Itinerary
| Day 1 | Lisbon Portugal is for explorers. Its valiant seamen first charted the Azores, discovered Japan and unlocked the major sea routes the world over. As your ship sails into the harbor of Lisbon, share the anticipation these sailors experienced as they ventured into new and exciting lands for the first time.Departure: 5:00 pm |
| Day 2 | Gibraltar The Rock of Gibraltar is located at the entrance of the Mediterranean. Its strategic location and history have made it an international symbol of solidity and strength, and its name frequently features in the world press and media. The subject of repeated conquest and sieges, Gibraltar has been a British Territory since 1704. Today, as a self-governing British Overseas Territory the locally elected Government of Gibraltar has created a solid and diverse economy. In a modern Europe, this has its base in offshore finance, shipping, tourism, and the Internet rather than the historic military past. There is, however, much of that for the tourist to see, along with the famous apes, and the dolphins in the bay.Arrival: 3:00 pm Departure: 10:00 pm |
| Day 3 | Malaga, Spain City, seaport, and holiday resort in southern Spain, on the Mediterranean Sea, Malaga is the center of the Costa del Sol, a major tourist region, and one of the most attractive places in Spain lying on a beautiful sweep of bay in Andalucia. Blessed with sunshine and a spectacular quality of light, Malaga is a city of wide boulevards, swaying palm trees, lively nightlife, good museums and excellent seafood restaurants. Pablo Picasso is the city's famous son (not counting Antonio Banderas of course!) and there are several galleries showing his work, including the 16th century Museum of Fine Arts, adjacent to the Cathedral. Arrival: 8:00 am Departure: 4:00 pm |
| Day 4 | Casablanca, Morocco Very young city of Casa or Dar el Baida, better know as Casablanca, is essentially the capital of Morocco. Any European citizen or traveler will feel immediately at home here and will have an almost instinctive understanding of the life here. Casablanca, located on the Atlantic Ocean, is the largest city in western Morocco. It is considered being Morocco’s chief port and economic capital. Its centre is indeed impressive, with large boulevards and tall, white well-kept buildings. The old city is more reminiscent of the Casablanca of Bergman and Bogart. Certain hallmarks are particular beautiful such as the enormous ornate Hassan II Mosque.Arrival: 8:00 am Departure: 7:00 pm |
| Day 5 | Agadir, Morocco Today you are in Agadir, Morocco's top sea resort. Its 10 km-long beach with snow-white sand and miraculous climate, providing a minimum of 300 days of sunshine a year make this city an accessible year-round destination. Agadir is a member of a private club which is part of the world's most beautiful bays. It contains a marina which can receive several hundred pleasure boats. The city is not typical of traditional Morocco as it has large buildings, wide roads and modern hotels because it was rebuilt after a major earthquake that happened in 1960, a very known large market where everything is sold from food to souvenirs, which is in a short distance from the city center called souk elhad. Marche centrale has many shops inside. Arrival: 1:00 pm Departure: 7:00 pm |
| Day 6 | Lanzarote, the Canary Islands Lanzarote is situated just 79 miles off the coast of Africa and is the most easterly of the Canary Islands. As with the other Canary Islands, Lanzarote is Volcanic in origin. Due to the recent eruptions during the 18th and 19th Centuries, many parts of Lanzarote appear to be from another world, often described as 'lunar' or 'Martian'. Among the many stunning Volcanic features of Lanzarote is the longest Volcanic Tunnel in the world, the Atlantida Tunnel, which is over 7 km lon. Despite the Volcanic nature of the island, Lanzarote has beautiful white beaches.Arrival: 11:00 am Departure: 5:00 pm |
| Day 7 | Funchal, Madeira Funchal’s history goes back over 5 centuries when early Portuguese settlers colonised the coast of a bright and sunny bay where fennel (funcho) grew in abundance, giving it’s name to the new town of Funchal. Over the years the population grew, with international trade attracting the attention of all of Europe. Nowadays Funchal is a very modern city with over 104.000 inhabitants. It is one of the safest and cleanest cities in Europe and is a place that takes real pride in itself. The Funchal city of today is very different from its fennel growing, pirate days of old. It is in fact a modern, cosmopolitan, rejuvenated city, well known for its many top class restaurants, stunning new 4 & 5 star hotels and warm all year round climate and of course its most famous export, world class footballer Cristiano Ronaldo. In short, it is now known for its style as well as its substance. Arrival: 12:00 pm Departure: 8:00 pm |
| Day 8 | At Sea You will spend this day on board of the ship. Take advantage of the wonderful attractions cruise ship Pullmantur Empress has to offer. |
