Visa Process

Many of the destinations that we cover require travel visas. Specific requirements depend on the country of your residence. For example, US clients are required to have a Russian visa, but not required to have a visa to Ukraine.

Many of our Russian river cruises already have visa services included in the price, but for others you will have to purchase your visas separately. If you are in need of a Russian tourist visa but are not purchasing one of our cruises, you can still purchase our visa service.

Our visa preparation fee comes in addition to Consulate charges and mailing fees. Of course, you can save your money and apply for a visa on your own, but be ready to face some challenges from spending more time on the entire visa process to visa denial. Undoubtedly, this may kill your mood ahead of your journey or even overset all your plans. This is why we advise to use our Visa Department service and let it deal with all the matters.

Things to remember:

  • The Russian and Ukrainian Consulates can process your application no sooner than 90 days before departure.
  • It takes anywhere from three to four weeks to process your visas.
  • Make sure that your passports are signed.
  • Use only a reliable courier service for mailing your documents. We recommend FedEx, which has proven to be more reliable than others.
  • If you are in a rush, the Russian and Ukrainian Consulates offer an expedited processing service at additional cost.
  • Let us know if you are visiting other countries prior to your trip to Russia or Ukraine. This way we can plan your visa process accordingly.
  • Your passport must be valid for at least six months from your arrival date to Russia or Ukraine and must have two consecutive empty pages.
  • If you plan to enter Russia or Ukraine more than once on your trip, you will need a multiple entry visa. Please indicate this in your visa application.

Visas processed by our Visa Department have a 99.9% approval rate.

Our main advantage
We are well familiar with requirements of Russian Consulates. For example, we know that if you don't provide a phone number of your previous place of work in visa application, you may be refused a visa.
